I am a native born San Diegan, with over thirty nine years of experience in the interior design industry. I am an active member of the San Diego chapter of ASID, and involve myself in activities that promote professional and ethical conduct within our organization.
The basis of my design skills and product knowledge started with my hands on experience with Shapell Industries, a southern California home builder. I worked there as a customer service representative in the new home subdivision design centers. Additionally, I have provided design services for a wholesale furniture showroom and was a senior product trainer for a major retail furniture chain.
Customers and clients have learned to rely on me to create the use of different elements of design with the utilization of various materials, fabrics and accessories to create a finished interior of perfection.
I operated my own design business for 11 years during which time I completed design assignments for homes and office spaces throughout the San Diego region. As a designer probably the most personally rewarding project and the one that changed my design orientation, was when I had the opportunity to design a fully accessible home for my son. An event that forever changed his life was a life lesson that helped me see design from a different point of view. Utilization and ease of movement became prominent in my perspective.
This wide range of experience has allowed me to become familiar with all the aspects of interior design.
In 2014 I graduated with honor from the PAUL REES UNIVERSITY OF WHATS HAPPENING NOW IN PATIO FURNITURE, AKA GREATHOUSE. “Let yourself in.”
“Have nothing in your home that is not useful, or nourishing to your soul. Add beautiful colors, textures and surfaces together with decorative pieces to create a home to be proud of, and where you can be comfortable & confident.”
